We collect minimal information necessary to provide you with Skreenshot. This includes:
• Device information: macOS version, hardware model, and crash logs to improve app stability.
• Usage analytics: Anonymous, aggregated data about which features are used (no personal data, no screenshots).
• Purchase information: Handled entirely by Apple's App Store or our payment processor. We never see your payment details.
We do not collect, upload, or transmit any screenshots, screen recordings, or recognized text. All capture data stays entirely on your device.
How We Use Your Information
The limited information we collect is used solely to:
• Fix bugs and crashes
• Improve app performance
• Understand which features are most valuable
• Communicate important updates (only if you opt in)
We do not sell, rent, or share your information with third parties for advertising purposes.
Data Storage & Security
All screenshots, recordings, and recognized text are stored locally on your Mac. Skreenshot does not operate any cloud storage for your captures.
If you use iCloud Drive as a save destination, that data is governed by Apple's iCloud privacy policy.
Any analytics data we collect is anonymized before transmission and cannot be traced back to you as an individual.
Third-Party Services
Skreenshot uses the following third-party services:
• Apple App Store: For purchase and licensing.
• RevenueCat (if subscriptions are active): For managing in-app subscriptions. Their privacy policy is available at revenuecat.com.
We do not use any advertising SDKs or social media tracking pixels.
Children's Privacy
Skreenshot is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.
